Anna Vertido is a general surgery resident at UCSF-East Bay who has joined the UCSF Breast Care Center as a post-doctoral research fellow. She aspires to become an academic breast surgeon following residency. Her current research with Dr. Mukhtar involves studying the efficacy of breast MRI in surgical planning and early recurrence detection for patients with invasive lobular carcinoma.
