Astrid Quirarte is a UCSF Breast Care Center intern who works on the Lobular Breast Cancer Research Program projects. She is the research coordinator for many ILC research projects that collect data on treatments and outcomes of ILC patients. One of the current projects she's working on is the ILC Prospective Registry, which aims to understand long term outcomes—such as treatment effects and recurrences—in ILC patients. Astrid completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Cell and Developmental Biology.
