Elle Clelland

    Biography

    Elle Clelland is a fourth-year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is currently in a research year funded by the UCSF Department of Surgery and UCSF School of Medicine Inquiry Curriculum. Her research includes orchestrating a clinical trial studying the impact of surgical weight loss on breast tissue and on breast cancer screening experience, titled B-BRITE (Bariatric Breast Results in Testing Experience). Additionally, Elle works on projects related to a large institutional cohort of patients with invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), specifically quantifying estrogen and progesterone receptor status in early-Stage ILC. Her other academic interests include high-value care, women's health, and medical education. Elle received her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis in 2017.
